Orchard is a real-time strategy game developed by Majesco Entertainment Company. The game puts you in the shoes of Ivy, a mail clerk that suddenly receives the news that she inherits a farm from her grand-uncle. Having nothing to lose, she goes to the farm to give it a new life. The game is played in a 3/4 point of view, as many real-time strategy games. There is a task to do for each level, like plant a number of something, or cleaning something, or giving work to a certain amount of employees. The idea is nice; however, the game has several problems. The first one is the HUGE amount of time it takes to do anything. You have to watch Ivy dig the ground for literally minutes, before you can start planting something else. It is just way too slow to spend all that time in front of the monitor. The interface has some issues as well. If you click on a character, it stops doing what it was doing. There is no cancel button; you just have to click on the character and it gets annoying. This could have been a good game, but its hard to recommend with all these problems.
